On paper (pardon the pun), they are brilliant. For those of you alien to the concept, they are pre-made oval applicators which have the perfectly designed eye shadow already printed on, so the general public can strut around with eyes as professionally made up as the flawless stars. All you need to do is press the paper to your eye and the make up transfers over, giving you the desired look without the stress. In reality, I cannot see how this actually gives the predicted results. How can one piece of paper give the same coverage to large round eye sockets as well as thin long ones? Impossible. I was trained to know which type of eyes could carry off certain looks and which ones need the more subtle approach, and on this basis I fail to see how we can create a 'one size fits all' beauty bag.
