I have found that Benefit cosmetics are particularly great in aiding me and my eye baggage. I have been addicted to boi-ing industrial strength concealer for a while now as it is purposely made for the dark circles, and it works. To compliment this little gem, Benefit created a product called lemon-aid, which is a lightener and eye shadow base that you sweep across your eye lid, helping to brighten the whole eye socket. YSL also have a magical product called Touche Eclat that completely erases those pesky dark circles. With its light reflecting pigments it gives instant radiance, stays put throughout the day and is widely known as the most popular eye concealer on the market.
This is all very well and good, but I’m sure that like me you are after a long term alteration rather than a short term cure. As for eye creams that are supposed to minimise the darkness over time, I am a sceptic. Every one I have used has had little to no effect. This is mostly because the dark circles are heredity and are in fact blood vessels under the thin skin, and as a result will not simply disappear with constant use of a cream. So, as far as I can tell, eye creams are a waste of money and cupboard space. It seems that we have to simply be content with covering the bags up until we are too old to care or plastic surgeons invent a permanent alternative.
