The LBD Raid

You’re acutely aware that the oh so adorable guy from downstairs will be attending and you relish having finally be given the opportunity to strip away your constricting work attire and blossom at the much anticipated work formal. It’s not an option to look drab, and is most definitely not an option to become an extension of the decor whilst he swans off in the direction of that bimbo you can’t stand. So, in preparation (at least a month’s planning is needed for such an occasion, and you know I’m right), you turn to your wardrobe to find it is bare. Shit. Granted, it’s not your ideal situation...but before you start hyperventilating I have some good news. Your 'get noticed to get laid’ ensemble is easily fixed with the simple purchase of this week’s LBD: from STAR by Julien Macdonald.

I’m torn attempting to work out what is more appealing: the quaint feather detail around the chest and shoulder strap or the intricate bead trim along the edge...Actually, it’s the collision of both that oozes elegance and femininity. This dress speaks volumes for the owner: it says she has a playful and eccentric side, but knows how to reveal it subtly. The one shoulder strap and knee length style means you expose flesh in a tasteful way, allowing the object of your affections to be awed by your ability to cover up in a provocative way (making you chic not cheap, no-one fancies a slut). Wear this and you’ll command the room, instead of being lost in it. Hold your breath and ignore the perhaps-a-little-excessive £125 price tag: it will all worth it when the gorgeous (yet no doubt profoundly arrogant) guy asks to take you for dinner.
