Thirst Aid

January is a shit month, in every respect. Not just the deflated bank balance, but also because we all over ate, over spent and over indulged throughout the whole of the Christmas period happy in the knowledge that by the start of the next year it will all be over. Now, instead, we are suffering for our crimes and avoiding mirrors so as to not face the consequences from the season of well being. Your body is bloated, hair lank and dying from the continual back-combing it suffered for endless Christmas parties and more importantly an abundance of chocolate and heated family living rooms has resulted in your skin looking horrific.

Thankfully, Givenchy have pre-empted our ruined state, and created Le Soin Noir -a pot full of both darkness and light. Darkness due to the simple fact it’s black, and light because it is your skin saviour. No really…it is. It’s not concocted from junk in a laboratory, but natural ingredients in the form of algae. And before you leg it to your back garden, I’m not referring to the stuff you scrap off the inside of a pond, but found instead at the bottom of the ocean – Skeletonema Costatum. This algae has been proved to survive extreme pressures, temperatures and UV radiation…made possible by its vital black algae sap concentrate (this is the good stuff, in case you’re lost as to why I appear to be giving some marine biology lesson).

Givenchy have taken this black sap, utilised its age-defying properties and restorative powers and turned it into - a face cream. Genius eh! All hail Givenchy and their five year research into making us look better. This fantastic new skincare product thus contains exceptional anti-ageing properties, skin renewal qualities AND luminosity agents. The shimmering soft cream glides onto the skin, leaving no trace of colour behind but a radiant glow instead. The change is instantly recognisable, and after regular use you’ll see the permanent results (reduces wrinkles, repairs cells, adds moisture which helps to create a more uniform complexion). Of course, in true Givenchy style, it comes in a sophisticated glass jar and presentation box, to make it look good on your dresser drawer as well as your face. The cost of beautiful skin is £215.31, a worthy investment for a new you in the New Year.
