The LBD Raid

I love this week’s LBD. I feel I’ve achieved something by stumbling across this little treasure on the web, so of course I simply had to share it with you. By Kirsty Doyle, (a designer unknown to me until now, shame on me) this dress is effortlessly COOL. You are immediately chic, no questions asked. Yes, I’m aware it is not fully black, but I’ll happily bend the rules for this cute number so you have to too. As part of her Spring/Summer 09 collection, Doyle has created this cashmere lightweight mini which comes with a detachable cream wool waistcoat and is perfect for the soon-to-come lazy spring evenings spent in a bar conservatory (complete with a cocktail of your choice). Yes, I hear you say, it’s fabulous, but what do I wear it with? I recommend keeping it minimal...a long drop pendant, loose tousled hair and some tan ankle boots.

What makes this dress extra special is that it is made to order, so to have your very own version tailored for you go to http://www.kirsty-doyle.com/collections/shw-detail.asp?cid=1800&pid=16063.
