God damn this snow! It is fun for like….a day. That inevitable “snow day” in which everyone skives off work/college, ignores all responsibilities to build a hideous distorted figure that resembles a snowman. Or, the delightful youth hurl balls at unsuspected passers by; firmly believing anti-social behaviour is acceptable now it’s a ball of frozen ice instead.
For me, and many fashionistas, the snow is just another physical barrier that prevents that must-have bargain finding its new home in my walk-in wardrobe. I cannot drive to or from the mall for fear of being trapped (my heaven, btw) and camping overnight outside “Strawberry Bunny”. Apart from investing in a snow plough to hit the January sales, is there another solution? No, before you suggest it…a husky pulling sleigh would be as much hassle as the plough. It’s simple really – stay indoors and shop online. Hallelujah! You can find yourself the new one-shoulder date dress that you need to seduce your current flame, all in the comfort of your p.js and a cuppa cocoa. Heck, you can even find that Lulu Guinness clutch in the sale, wearing your indecent slip and suspenders, if that’s your bag. Anything goes.
